HP Elite 8200 PC

Kan pt. IKKE installeres med SafetyCard pga. manglende opdatering i HP’s BIOS.
Vi har kontaktet HP og gjort disse opmærksom på problemet – Men der er ingen løsning endnu fra deres side.

We have done a further testing on this machine and found the problem is due to its strange BIOS design, which we considered a bug.  Therefore, unless HP released an update BIOS version, the solution for this machine would be Software only.

Problems found on this machine:
1. All the Network Card with Boot ROM in the market cannot work well on this machine.  Only the built-in LAN can work.  It is a HP BIOS’s bug.
2. Safety WOL Card can be detected by mode 5, but in Windows, the network connection is still unstable.  It worked 9 out of 10 times.  Once the network connection is failed, a power off (not reset) is required to make the network workable again.  The reason is unknow.
3. Safety PCI Card cannot be detected on this machine, because the BIOS doesn’t accept a device which use “large storage media chipset”, which exactly used by our PCI card.

We have reported these problem to HP company and asked for an update BIOS version.  But we don’t know when they will do the debug and release a new BIOS version.  So before that, hardware card cannot work on this HP 8200 Elite.

Currently, software is the only solution.  We will make one for you if you need it.
